Faith Lutheran Church of Rotonda West is a liturgical church
Liturgy simply means “work of the people” and has always played a historical role in the life of the church and in the faith development of the people of God. The liturgical forms of worship include an emphasis on Word, as expressed through a church calendar, celebrating the life of Christ and His teachings, Biblical readings, and hymns that tell the important story of God’s love for us and the gift of His son for our salvation.
However, liturgy does not mean that worship services are the same each week. Changing responses, contemporary as well as traditional hymns, a traditional choir as well as a contemporary guitar based quartet all help to underscore the importance of the liturgical structure made more flexible for the people of today.
